Loan Comparison Calculator for Australia

Trying to work out which home loan actually stacks up? Our free loan comparison calculator lets you compare home loans side by side and see how repayments, rates and fees measure up before you commit.

How Our Loan Comparison Calculator Helps You?

A loan comparison calculator lets you put two or more home loans side by side, comparing repayments, fees, and features, not just the advertised rate. Enter the loan amount, term, and rate for each option. The calculator shows you side-by-side repayments, so you can compare home loans apples to apples. For a comparison that goes beyond the rate page, our brokers compare options across 52+ lenders to find what actually fits.

Whether you’re a first home buyer in Melbourne’s west or refinancing in Victoria, it’s worth comparing properly before you sign. It can make a real difference over the life of the loan.

Things You Should Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to common questions about comparing home loans.

You enter the loan amount, interest rate, and term for each loan you’re considering. The calculator works out the repayments for each one, so you can line them up and see which suits your budget.

The interest rate is what you’re charged on the loan itself. The comparison rate folds in most ongoing fees as well, giving you a more complete picture of the true cost. A loan with a lower rate but higher fees can end up costing more than one with a slightly higher rate and fewer fees.

Yes. Loan features like offset accounts, redraw facilities, and the ability to make extra repayments can be worth more than a small rate difference. It depends on how you plan to use the loan.

You can compare a fixed loan against a variable one. Just keep in mind that variable repayments are only an estimate at today’s rate and may move over the life of the loan.

No, running numbers through a calculator has no impact on your credit file. Your score is only affected once you formally apply for a loan and a lender runs a credit check.

Both. First home buyers benefit from comparing lenders before they apply. Existing borrowers often find worthwhile savings by comparing their current loan against what’s available elsewhere every year or two.

The calculator is built for comparing two loans side by side. If you’re weighing up more than two, a broker can run a broader comparison across the full panel for you.

Our brokers compare home loans across 52+ lenders, checking rates, fees, and features against your goals. You get a recommendation based on your full financial picture, not just what’s advertised.
